“I chose to work at Netlight because I wanted to be challenged, but at the same time not compete with my colleagues”
While on a call with a Netlight recruiter to pitch her university’s career fair, Sara’s passion and enthusiasm were apparent. To her surprise, she was offered a job at the end of that call, showcasing the Netlighter trait she’s come to admire: seeing hidden potential and seizing the opportunity in that moment. Since starting at the company as a Software Engineer, she’s moved to a Product Development role in the Berlin office.
Driven by her own interest to level the playing field for women in the technology scene, Sara has spearheaded initiatives to drive more diversity and equality at Netlight. Through her advocacy for recruiting women and more diversely, she’s worked with colleagues to ensure that interviewees are treated equally by being assessed on their abilities and qualifications. Knowing that her contributions to these causes help foster a sense of belonging between colleagues gives her fulfillment at work.
